Miles White is the chairman and CEO of Abbott Labs, an Abbott Park-based maker of pharmaceuticals, medical products, and nutrition/health care products. Abbott Labs has over 90,000 employees worldwide and 2010 revenue was $3.52 billion. Mr. White currently serves as the Chairman of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Dean's Advisory Board at the Kellogg School of Management, and the Culver Educational Foundation. He is the former Chairman of The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, The Economic Club of Chicago, and The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.

Miles White is a career patron of former Lieutenant Governor Corinne Wood (R).

From 1993 through June 30, 2002, Miles White gave $226,194 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 95% of which was contributed to Republicans.
