Dent-IL-PAC

The Illinois State Dental Association, based in Springfield, contributes to political campaigns through its political action committee Dent-IL PAC. It is the trade association for dentists, dental students, and dental hygienists. Recent legislative interests of the ISDA have included the Dental Practice Protection Act and the Impaired Dentist Act. Dent-IL PAC is also concerned with practice by unsupervised dental hygenists, alagram waste disposal, HIPAA regulations, patient protection, and excessive state and federal regulations.

The Illinois State Dental Association is a career patron of former House Republican Leader Lee Daniels (R), and former Senate President James "Pate" Philip (R).

From 1993 through December 31, 2002, Illinois State Dental Association gave $1.144 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 59% of which was contributed to Republicans
