Haymarket Group

The Haymarket Group is a lobbying and public relations firm with a strong focus on political campaigns. The Haymarket Group represents Commonwealth Edison and DePaul University, among others. Jay Doherty, formerly principle of the Haymarket Group, is also head of the City Club of Chicago. The Haymarket Group has received in excess of $688,000 in campaign consulting fees from candidates for state and local office, primarily from Cook County.

The Haymarket Group is a career patron of unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate Paul Vallas (D).

From 1993 to 2001, the Haymarket Group gave $22,000 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 99% of which was contributed to Democrats.
