Illinois League of Credit Unions

The Illinois League of Credit Unions, located in Naperville, represents Illinois' credit unions: member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperatives. For the most part, the legislative agenda of the Illinois League of Credit Unions runs counter to that of the much larger Illinois Bankers Association. In 2001, it unsuccessfully lobbied for legislation that would have allowed credit unions to receive public deposits.

From 1993 through June 30, 2007, the Illinois League of Credit Unions (CREDIT UNION PAC CUPAC) gave $1,839,000 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 70% of which was contributed to Republicans.

Last revised June 2011.
