MacLean-Fogg Company
Barry MacLean is the President and CEO of MacLean-Fogg Company, a Mundelein-based manufacturing company which specializes in parts for the electric utitility, telecommunications, and automotive industries. MacLean-Fogg has a workforce of 4,500 with sales of nearly $800 million dollars annually. MacLean is a member of the Advisory Board at Nicolet Capital Investors, LLC, a director of Oce-U.S.A., Inc., L.R. Nelson Corp., and Illinois Manufacturers Association, where he previously served as Chairman. MacLean is an active philanthropist and on the boards of many charitable and community organizations including The Museum of Science and Industry, The University of Chicago Hospitals, The Art Institute of Chicago, where he is the Chairman of the School, and Newberry Library. MacLean was also the Mayor of the village of Mettawa for 14 years. He lost reelection in 2009.
MacLean-Fogg is a career patron of former Lieutenant Governor Corinne Wood (R).
From 1993 to 2008, MacLean-Fogg gave $714,720 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office. All was given to Republican candidates with the exception of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and House Speaker Michael Madigan. MacLean-Fogg also gives to Manufactures PAC (MPAC.) Over that same time, Barry MacLean gave $45,050 in contributions to Republican candidates.
