Woodward Governor Company

Woodward Governor Company, once based in Rockford, makes turbines and other engine components for the airline and auto industries, as well as designing energy control solutions and efficient fuel delivery system. In August 2003 they announced their acquisition of Barber-Colemon Dyna Products, a division of Invensys PK that manufactures actuators and controls for engine and equipment manufactures. Woodward Governor's coprporate headquarters moved to Colorado in 2007. Between 2000 and 2008 this company was awarded $70,790,530 in government defense contracts. Tom Gendron is Chairman and CEO of Woodward Governor Company. In 2010, Gendron joined the Board of Directors of Hexcel Corporation, a company that develops, manufactures, and markets composites used for commercial aerospace, space and defense, and industrial applications.
